Updated: Feb 22

If you’re reading this, hello and welcome to Crisis Control. Whether you’ve been living with sickle cell your whole life, are newly diagnosed, or are a parent, friend, or caregiver, know this: you are not alone. This space is for you.

The Reality of Sickle Cell

Living with sickle cell disorder (SCD) can feel overwhelming. The pain crises, hospital visits, exhaustion, and the need to explain your condition over and over again it’s a lot. Some days, it might feel like the world doesn’t understand what you’re going through. But here, you’re in a community that truly gets it.

Finding Strength in the Journey

No two experiences with sickle cell are the same, but one thing unites us all: resilience. Despite the challenges, we push forward. We go to school, work, build relationships, and chase dreams. Sickle cell doesn’t define you it’s just one part of your story. And every story deserves to be told.
